How to Create Adsense Account

This guide is written for the beginners to get your blog approved and implement advert in your blog.

1. Sign Up to Google Adsense 

Signing up to Google Adsense account is as easier to create any other social account such Facebook. Use this link to Create Google Account and activate to start generating revenue.

It will land you to adsense website where you have to click on Get started button.

Fill up the form including your website which you want to monetize and click on Save and Continue button.

Now, login to the adsense account with your registered mail.

It will take you to the setup page where you have to choose your country. Note: Google adsense will send the revenue in the country your have choose in this page.


Read Terms and Condition and select the box then click on Create Account button.

You need to update your payment address details filling the correct information. Choose your Account types as individual from the drop down and enter your full name, address then click on Submit.

2. Phone Verification

In this page Google Adsense will ask you to provide you mobile number where you will receive the code to get activated. Type the phone number and choose Text message (SMS) to get code via message then click on Get verification code.

Soon you will receive verification code in provided phone number. Enter the correct code and click on submit.

After verification, You have to add the pieces of code snippet to your website. Copy the code given by Adsense then follow to the steps below to add in your WordPress website.

3. Add the Code in WordPress Website

Login to your WordPress dashboard and click on Appearnace then Editor.

Choose header.php at the right side and paste the code below the head section then click on Update file button.

Now, back to Adsense page and check the box I’ve pasted the code into my site then click on Done.

Adsense will notify you with the successful mesagge saying The code was found.

You will also see the message that says your website is under review which will take few days to complete the verification process.

You will be notify by your registered mail once verified. After verification process completes you can add the adverts in your WordPress to start generating revenue.

4. Create Ad Unit in Adsense

Login to Google Adsense dashboard which you have to click on My ads then Ad units. Again click on New ad unit button.

Type preferred ads name and select the ad type such as Text from drop down and click on Save and get code.

You will find the code that need to be added in your WordPress widget or any where you like to show the adverts. Copy the code and follow the steps.

5. Add Adverts in your Website

Login to WordPress dashboard. Click on Appearance then Widgets

Add the Custom HTML widget to your primary or secondar slidebar and paste the code copied from adsense. Click on Save button.

You have successfully added the adsense adverts in your WordPress blog. You adverts will start showing after few minutes. Don’t forget to setup your payment method from Adsense dashboard.
